Laboratory Introduction

The Nanostructured Materials Research Laboratory was established in 2022 at the Faculty of Chemistry, Amirkabir University of Technology. The laboratory's primary focus is on the synthesis, fabrication, and characterization of nanostructured materials for applications in chemical synthesis, optoelectronics, electrochemistry, sensors, energy storage, catalysis, and photocatalysis.

Research Areas

1. Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNTs):

   • Applications in optoelectronics and sensor technologies.

2. Nanostructured Materials:

   • Synthesis and study of materials such as metal oxides, metals, activated carbon, and graphene.

3. Photocatalysts:

   • Development of nanostructured materials and composites for solar energy utilization and chemical transformations.

4. High-Capacity Supercapacitors:

   • Designing nanostructured materials for efficient electrical energy storage.

5. Environmental Chemistry:

   • Utilizing photocatalysts and photoelectrocatalysts for water purification and environmental remediation.
