Ph.D. Programme – 4-Year Plan

Our Ph.D. program emphasizes empirical and theoretical approaches to chemical research. The Ph.D. students should take 18 graduate credits. They are also required to pass a standard English test. After finishing their coursework, the students must pass the comprehensive exam.

They will then submit a written dissertation proposal to the director of graduate studies in chemistry and successfully defend it.

Ph.D. students should work on the selected subject under the supervision of a faculty member (20 credits).

 

M.Sc. Programme

Our Master of Science (M.Sc.) program provides research-oriented training and high-quality courses. It is a two-year plan in the following areas:

  1. Analytical Chemistry
  2. Inorganic Chemistry
  3. Physical Chemistry
  4. Organic Chemistry
  5. Applied Chemistry

A thesis embodying the results of original research shall be submitted to and approved by the Department of Chemistry and AUT Graduate Department.

Graduate students must take a total of 24 graduate credits to qualify for the M.Sc. degree.
