In this laboratory, graduate (Master’s and PhD) students of Physical and Applied Chemistry conduct research related to their theoretical and experimental projects. The laboratory spans an area of approximately 80 square meters and is equipped with longitudinal workbenches, fume hoods, and proper air filtration systems.
Computational Chemistry:
Simulation of various physical systems (metallic, polymeric, carbon nanostructures).
Adsorption Processes:
Simulation and experimental investigation of adsorption processes.
Chemical and Biosensors:
Design and fabrication of chemical and biosensors.
Equation of State Studies:
Analysis of the equation of state for petroleum compounds, ionic liquids, and metals.
ODS Catalysts:
Study and development of catalysts for oxidative desulfurization (ODS) processes.
Carbon Quantum Dots:
Application of carbon quantum dots for disease diagnostics, including protein analysis for COVID-19 detection.
